Liquor Sales Representative-Mead

Chinook Arch Meadery is a small liquor manufacturer based near Okotoks, AB. As Alberta’s first Meadery, we have been in operation for 17 years and continue to grow our wholesale customer base. Product knowledge will be helpful, but training is available. The successful candidate must have experience in the alcohol industry and have Alberta Pro-serve. Basic wine appreciation courses (i.e. WSET) will be helpful. Must have own vehicle.

Duties involved:

- Visit with existing wholesale customers on a regular basis to assess inventory, generate orders and determine if they have concerns to be addressed

- Plan (coordinate, schedule, ensure inventory) and conduct a systematic schedule of store tastings

- Social Media releases

- Grow our wholesale customer base by following leads, cold calling and networking

- Timely communication and reporting to management

- Act as a Brand Ambassador, includes participating in industry events, promotional activities under the direction of the management

Qualifications required:

- Experience as a liquor sales professional

- Enjoy engaging with people and the process of selling and closing a sale

- Effective oral and written communication

- Have a professional, positive demeanor and presentation

- Have experience with planning and financial software and be able to analyze sales data

- Be punctual and respectful of the requirements of our customers

Hours:

30-35 average per month, with seasonal highs and lows

Wage: Dependent on experience, commission possible
